Politwoops
The Open State Foundation founded Politwoops in the Netherlands in 2010 to track deleted tweets from politicians in the European Union. The project uses Twitter's API to track deleted tweets and screens the tweets to decide whether not they are worth re-publishing (tweets deleted due to small typos are generally ignored; the site tends to focus on changes that reflect a deviation from previously articulated policies or messages). In 2012, the Sunlight Foundation brought Politwoops to the United States. Politwoops.eu offers an API that allows users to request data from both the EU and US versions.
